Arnica

(Arnica montana)

Description

Arnica grows in mountain areas in Europe. This herb is great for accidents as it is an astringent. It discourages bruising, swelling and pain if used quickly. It also relieves muscle aches, sprains, strains and any other sort of fall. Arnica is usually applied externally.

Caution

There are no known side effects when applied topically. However arnica should not be taken internally.

Availability

Arnica is available in tablet and liquid form, dried flower heads, tincture, ointment and massage oil.
