(Sambucus nigra)

Description

The elder has diuretic and anti-mucus actions. It contains B-complex vitamins, calcium, carbohydrates, fat, potassium, protein, rutin, tannic acid, tyrosin, vitamins A and C. 

The potent parts of the plant are the berries, flowers, inner bark, leaves and roots. This herb cleanses the system and encourages immune functioning, is anti-inflammatory, stimulates circulation and can raise body temperature.
