Tea Tree Oil Essential Oil

Botanical Name – (Melaleuca alternifolia)
Part of plant used – leaves

Tea tree oil has been touted as one of the most effective substances against infections – bacterial, viral and fungal. This tree is grown in the northern New South Wales region of Australia and is glorified world wide for its healing properties. This oil will heal without scarring and is a top note.

Physical Applications

  • Acne – neat
  • Cuts, pierced ears, nail infections, tinea, ringworm, wounds, insect bites – neat
  • Boils, pimples, mouth ulcers, cold sores – neat also use as a gargle for inner mouth problems – do not swallow.
  • Colds and flu – apply to handkerchief and inhale, steam inhalation
  • Warts – neat
  • Thrush – douche, bath

Cautions

  • Do not take internally.
  • Can cause skin irritations in certain people – do a patch test.
